Dashboards & BI

Figures that answer questions.

A dashboard should make a decision easier. We work with your business team to define useful measures and views, connect the agreed sources, and make data freshness, filters and calculations visible. We can build within your existing BI environment where suitable.

IN PRACTICE

A question from your working day.

For sales, service and operations teams that want consistent recurring reports and an explainable basis for decisions.

A monthly report without the spreadsheet puzzle

For an agreed report, we combine the named sources. Revenue, cost or backlog definitions are agreed with the business team and checked against reference figures.

Understand the service backlog

A team sees the volume, age and status of its work. Drilldowns expose the underlying records, while roles and permissions restrict access to individual details.

CONCRETE DELIVERABLES

What we agree to deliver.

We specify the extent of these deliverables in your proposal, together with verifiable acceptance criteria.

A shared measure specification
A definition, calculation, source, time period and business owner for each agreed measure, alongside the questions each view should answer.
Data model & reports
An analytical model suited to the scope, with the agreed report pages, filters and detail views. Last-update information and missing data remain visible.
Reconciliation & access checks
Checks against agreed reference values, documented filter cases and tests of the agreed user roles. Unexpected totals can be traced back to their calculations.
BEFORE WE START

A scope both sides can work with.

What we need from you

  • Identified user groups, the main decision questions and a business owner for acceptance.
  • Authorised access to agreed sources and appropriate usage rights for BI software and data.
  • An agreed data snapshot and reference figures; substantial quality issues are addressed first or scoped separately.

What needs a separate agreement

  • Sources, measures, report pages, roles and update intervals are bounded and specified in the proposal.
  • Real-time processing, company-wide data cleansing and bespoke business applications are not automatically included.
  • BI licences, hosting, data transfer and ongoing support are itemised separately where needed.
STEP BY STEP

Reviewable progress. Clear decisions.

  1. Clarify decisions & measures

We start with your team’s questions and agree definitions, sources, roles and acceptance criteria.

  2. Try one report

An initial view uses an agreed data snapshot. Users review readability, filters and the path to the information they need.

  3. Connect & reconcile

We implement the agreed sources and views. Totals, edge cases and permissions are checked with your business team.

  4. Introduce & hand over

We document the model, updates and measures. Your team practises common analyses and knows who can handle changes.

YOUR TEAM TAKES OVER

The handover is part of the project.

We agree ownership, access and usage rights at the start, including the conditions of third-party components.

  • Report files, the data model and agreed queries in an accessible project format.
  • A measures handbook, source lineage, update instructions and troubleshooting guidance.
  • An access model, documented acceptance and walkthroughs for users and maintainers.
A SCOPED PROJECT / PRICE ON REQUEST

Start with one concrete question.

Describe the decision, your available sources and who will use the result. We clarify feasibility and propose deliverables, acceptance criteria, schedule and price. Each further stage is agreed explicitly.

A short description is enough for the first enquiry. Please do not send confidential datasets or access credentials through the contact form.

Project work and ongoing costs are shown separately. Hosting, licences, compute and support are included only when explicitly agreed.

A good place to start.
