Data platforms & model operations

From a one-off run to clear operations.

A notebook on a laptop is not yet a managed data process. For an agreed use case, we plan and develop the pipeline, execution and monitoring. Access, error handling and recovery receive the same attention as ownership after handover.

IN PRACTICE

A question from your working day.

For teams with a validated prototype or recurring data imports that need a traceable, maintainable way to run them.

The daily import needs an owner

We turn a manual data run into a scheduled workflow. Missing deliveries, changed formats and duplicate processing receive defined checks and responses.

Run an evaluated model with control

For a prototype already assessed by the business, we plan execution, versioning and approvals. Changes in inputs and outcomes that become available later are addressed in an agreed monitoring design.

CONCRETE DELIVERABLES

What we agree to deliver.

We specify the extent of these deliverables in your proposal, together with verifiable acceptance criteria.

Architecture & repeatable execution
Documented sources, destinations, schedules and dependencies. Versioned transformations or model artefacts, automated checks and an agreed deployment process.
Monitoring & error handling
Checks for freshness, schema and run status, plus agreed alert thresholds, retries and recovery. Model monitoring considers input changes and, once target values arrive, prediction quality.
Operations & handover design
Roles, technical access, retention, backups and recovery within the agreed scope. With a named alert recipient and a documented process for changes and rollback.
BEFORE WE START

A scope both sides can work with.

What we need from you

  • Documented sources and destinations, appropriate access permissions and an agreed runtime environment.
  • A model that has passed business validation if model operations are commissioned; outstanding evaluation is scoped separately.
  • Defined operating hours, data volumes, freshness targets and owners for business and technical questions.

What needs a separate agreement

  • Sources, pipelines, models, environments and load assumptions have explicit limits. A company-wide platform is not the default scope.
  • Hosting, compute, storage, licences, on-call support and response times need their own cost and service agreement.
  • A drift alert does not trigger an unreviewed model change. Retraining, evaluation and release approval are agreed separately.
STEP BY STEP

Reviewable progress. Clear decisions.

  1. Define operating needs

We review dependencies, data volume, permissions, schedules and budget. Business and technical responsibilities are assigned.

  2. Build one end-to-end workflow

A bounded data flow is set up in the agreed environment. Data contracts, tests and logging are developed with the workflow.

  3. Exercise failure & recovery

We test agreed cases such as missing data or an interrupted run. Alerts, retries and recovery are demonstrated within the test scope.

  4. Hand over or agree support

Your team receives the code, access inventory and operating instructions. Ongoing support starts only with a defined scope, cost and responsibilities.

YOUR TEAM TAKES OVER

The handover is part of the project.

We agree ownership, access and usage rights at the start, including the conditions of third-party components.

  • Source code, configuration without embedded secrets, and deployment and rollback instructions.
  • An operations handbook with checks, alert thresholds, failure cases and recovery steps.
  • A responsibility map and walkthrough; for models, versions, evaluation status and reassessment rules.
A SCOPED PROJECT / PRICE ON REQUEST

Start with one concrete question.

Describe the decision, your available sources and who will use the result. We clarify feasibility and propose deliverables, acceptance criteria, schedule and price. Each further stage is agreed explicitly.

A short description is enough for the first enquiry. Please do not send confidential datasets or access credentials through the contact form.

Project work and ongoing costs are shown separately. Hosting, licences, compute and support are included only when explicitly agreed.

A good place to start.
