Domains, Express and monitoring: planning your website launch.

A good web address, a realistic schedule and an alert that reaches someone: these three decisions connect your first website with planned operation.

A domain address, a schedule and an availability signal form three stages of a prepared website launch.

Put the domain on the plan early

Choose an address that is easy to say on the phone and unambiguous in an email. Collect a few suitable options and decide which should be your main address. If a website or email already uses a domain, record the existing services and access before making changes. This makes clear which connections must be preserved at launch.

Our domain selection supports .de, .com, .net, .org, .si, .eu, .io, .app, .dev, .shop, .online and .cloud. For a standard .de domain, the non-binding indicative price is €12.90 for the first year and €12.90 for each annual renewal, including VAT and management. Premium domains are excluded. The domain selection shows prices for other extensions together with first-year and renewal amounts.

The lookup provides a preliminary check through the responsible registry using RDAP or WHOIS. Finding no registry record is not a binding availability promise. Your selection neither registers nor reserves a domain. Availability, final price and the required registrant details are confirmed with the registrar before a binding quote. Plan registration as a separate step.

Express depends on a prepared start

Our Express offer is assessed for Website Start: one page with up to six sections, a CMS and website chatbot. The targets are under one hour for an available domain that can be registered at the standard price and under 24 hours for the completed website. These targets apply only after a complete brief, payment, an explicitly confirmed production slot, the required approvals and, where applicable, a request to start early.

Prepare your offer, target audience, contact details, existing logo, usable images and legal texts. Finished marketing copy is not required; the structure and initial wording are developed from your brief. Appoint a person to answer questions and approve the preview. A short decision path is part of scheduling.

Domain requirements and available capacity are checked before confirmation. Transfers, migrations and special features are outside the Express scope. Domain registration is also distinct from worldwide DNS propagation. We report the website as live only after a successful HTTPS check. If no Express slot is available, a regular date is agreed before commissioning.

Use basic monitoring first, then add specific targets

Managed hosting already includes availability monitoring for the managed project. You do not need to add monitoring again for that same basic scope. An additional component is useful when you want to monitor further websites and services, including those hosted elsewhere.

Monitoring Plus costs €9.90 per month, including VAT and setup. It checks up to five public HTTP(S) targets you own or are explicitly authorised to monitor at 60-second intervals, monitors TLS expiry and reports incidents by email. Maintenance windows, a monthly availability overview and a jointly checked test alert are included.

This check observes availability. It does not confirm that every order, sign-in or form submission works correctly in business terms. Automatic fixes, security certification, 24/7 on-call support and a guaranteed response time are excluded. For an important order or enquiry journey, separately agree how its functionality should be tested regularly.

An alert needs a recipient and a next step

Before activation, decide which mailbox should receive alerts, who reads it and who covers absences. A shared test alert establishes whether that route works. Briefly record what should be checked first after an alert and how technical support can be reached.

This produces a clear launch sequence: record the domain and existing services, confirm scope and timing, approve the preview, check the website and HTTPS, and test the alert route. Domain selection, project configuration and later activation are separate steps. With an owner and a verifiable result for each one, a quick launch can still be well managed.
