Your first online shop: start small and test the whole process.
A landing page, your own shop or dropshipping: three different starting points with different tasks. Choose the scope and check the journey from product to processed order.
Read the German originalFirst decide what visitors should do
Describe the next step for your visitors in one sentence: join a waiting list, send an enquiry or order a specific product. These represent three tasks of different sizes. A new business does not automatically need an online shop. For an offer still being developed, a convincing website with a well-managed form may be the right first step.
A shop needs usable product data, images, prices, variants, shipping rules and a payment provider account. Start with a range whose details you can check completely. Ten clearly described products provide a better working foundation than a hundred incomplete records. This says nothing about expected sales; it first makes operation more manageable.
Your own shop needs a complete order journey
Shop Start costs €1,790.00 as a one-off catalogue purchase, including VAT. It includes a WooCommerce shop for physical products with up to 20 initial products and five variants each, a home page, categories, cart and standard checkout. We configure one payment provider and two shipping methods. Two revision rounds and 60 minutes of introduction are included.
The scope is a German-language shop using one currency. You supply product data and legal texts. Hosting, a domain, payment fees and any required third-party licences are additional. Subscriptions, marketplaces and ERP integration are outside the starter package. If you need these features, describe the appropriate extension before implementation.
The managed alternative is the Online Shop package with €0 development within the agreed scope. With a 24-month minimum term, it costs €219.00 per month and at least €5,256.00 over that term, including VAT. Hosting and shop maintenance are included, along with 45 minutes of small content changes per month. Goods, transaction fees, a domain and third-party licences remain separate.
A startup website has a different purpose
The Startup care package combines a business website with an additional campaign landing page and a lead or waiting-list form including export and a confirmation message. With a 24-month minimum term, it costs €149.00 per month and at least €3,576.00 in total, including VAT, with €0 development within the agreed scope.
This suits a next step that is a conversation or a registration. A bespoke SaaS product, advertising budget, brand development, third-party CRM licences and further automation are excluded. Also define the work after form submission: who reads the enquiries, which reply is sent and where is the subsequent progress recorded? A landing page does not take care of those tasks by itself.
Dropshipping starts with the supplier's workflow
When a supplier handles shipping, the shop must work with that process. Before a quote, check which product and stock data is available, how an order is transferred and how shipping status and errors are returned. Also agree who handles a failed transfer and how a return is processed in practice.
Our managed Dropshipping package covers one supplier whose compatibility has been checked beforehand, up to 20 initial products, the agreed data synchronisation and order forwarding through a documented interface. It includes shipping status, an error log, a test order in the test system and a monthly functionality check of the connection. With a 24-month term, it costs €289.00 per month and at least €6,936.00 over the term, including VAT, with €0 development within the agreed scope.
Feasibility and interface scope are checked before the quote. Automated returns processing, product research and advertising placement are excluded. Procurement, shipping, returns, payment fees and supplier fees must be budgeted separately. The package provides a defined technical workflow and makes no promise of profit or revenue.
Walk through an order together before launch
Take a specific product through the complete test-system process: choose a variant, check shipping, make a test payment, receive confirmation and process the order in the shop. Also check an abandoned payment and an unavailable variant. With a supplier connection, include a failed transfer: where is it visible, and who takes responsibility?
Then record the daily and weekly work. Product maintenance, customer enquiries and open orders need someone responsible. This small operational trial helps you judge whether the initial scope suits your team. The shop selection helps combine services; care and supplier integrations are defined through an individual quote.
